Ministry Update - October, 2024
Dear Friends and Supporters,
It is always a joy to connect with you and share the incredible journey we're on together. Your support has been instrumental in changing the lives of many young adults, and I'm excited to give you an update on how we are evolving our approach to empower these remarkable individuals.
This year, we have seen significant progress in the lives of the young people we serve, as we continue to guide them in their educational, professional, and spiritual journeys. When we first began our ministry, we provided all necessities at no cost—rent, food, clothing, and even full tuition in some cases. It was our way of ensuring they had everything they needed to start building a solid foundation.
However, as we continued our work, we realized an incredible opportunity: to not only provide for their immediate needs but also to foster a mindset of independence, responsibility, and personal growth. We recognized that, in order to help these young adults truly thrive, we needed to prepare them for the challenges of the real world—to help them become confident, self-sufficient individuals who can face life's demands with resilience and purpose.
To achieve this, we have transitioned to a new model. We are introducing a system where rent, food, and other benefits come at an affordable cost, supported by an incentive-based program that allows these young adults to earn their way. Through a points system, they can perform tasks within the house to earn money and meet their own needs. This approach is designed to instill a sense of pride and accomplishment, as they learn the value of work, effort, and contribution.
Our ministry is not just a place to live—it is a transition house where young people can discover their true potential and learn what it means to be socially responsible members of their community. With your support, we are helping them build the skills, character, and confidence they need to thrive independently.
As we move forward, we are entering an exciting period of growth. With the conclusion of the academic year, we are recruiting new teenagers who are ready to embark on this transformative journey. We ask for your prayers and support as we carefully select those who are best suited to benefit from our program and continue to build a community of empowered, purpose-driven young adults.
Thank you for believing in our vision and for being an essential part of this mission. Together, we are making a lasting impact.
With gratitude and blessings, Orlando Ramirez
